Hours of Operation
Our standard hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Modified and part-time schedules are available, which will be defined in the contract.
However, we are available 24/7 to meet our parents’ needs, including evenings, overnight, & weekends (higher rates may apply). “Full-Time” is defined as contracted on a set schedule of 8–10 hours per day, 4–5 days per week. “Part-Time” is defined as contracted on a set schedule of 4 hours or less per day, or three days per week, not exceeding 25 hours per week.
Holidays Observed
Torrance Tots will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Rosh Hashanah
- Yom Kippur
- Veteran’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day and the following day
- Christmas Day
Emergency exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
When a holiday falls on a Saturday, Torrance Tots will be closed the preceding Friday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the following Monday.
These holidays will be billed as though care was provided.
Infant Supplies
Torrance Tots does not provide diapers, wipes, baby food (e.g., Gerbers), or formula. Please provide these items for your child and re-stock as needed (reminders will be noted on the status sheet); an additional charge will apply if we need to provide them.
